Hancock Coal Pty Ltd (HCPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hancock Prospecting Pty Ltd, has as its centrepiece, the development of an extensive thermal coal deposit in Queensland's Galilee Basin, about 400 km inland from the coast.
The project will include the construction of approximately 495 km of rail, port facilities, mine infrastructure, process plant and workforce village.
